PRESIDENT – SHEILA BANNISTER, RDH, BS

In 1999, Sheila graduated from Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists’ located in Boston, Massachusetts with an Associate in Science degree. While continuing her studies, Ms. Bannister worked part time in a periodontal practice and in 2000 graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. One month after graduation she moved from Massachusetts to Vermont and began working part time with Dr. Stephen Zonies in Waitsfield. In addition to working in private practice, Sheila was also employed as an adjunct clinical instructor in the Vermont Technical College dental hygiene program from 2004 to 2007. In the fall of 2007 she joined the college as a full time faculty member teaching courses in Dental Materials, Community Oral Health, Local Anesthesia and Clinical Seminar, as well as overseeing second year clinical rotation. Ms. Bannister has been active in her professional organization since graduation and is a member of the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society. She lives in Northfield Vermont with her husband Steven.
