Welcome members and guests to the VDHA website. This website serves as a resource for you with regard to your professional association and the practice of dental hygiene in Vermont.
It is a privilege to serve as President of the VDHA during 2011-2012. My goal for our association to the upcoming term is to continue the quest to expand access to oral health care for all, while advancing the profession of dental hygiene.  Your Executive Board is currently involved in many projects:

• Increasing access to oral health care by working with the Kellogg Foundation, VT Oral health Care for All, and VT Voices for children and organizing the Volunteer Dental Care Day.
• We continue to work with VOCHA to create a new dental workforce model in Vermont.
• Providing support for legislation to curb the use of soda and tobacco in Vermont.
• Increasing awareness of evidence-based clinical practices through continuing education offerings.
• Collaborating with health professionals around the state to improve the oral and systemic health of our patients.

It is only through hard work and commitment that we will be able to serve the public in the best possible way, with the highest standards of care.
