DIANE PETERSON, RDH, M.Ed.
Diane Peterson graduated from the University of Vermont with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene and in 1980 with a Bachelors of Science in human development. She began her dental hygiene career in clinical practice in Montpelier and became a dental hygiene educator in 1997 as a half-time faculty member at the University of Vermont.
Upon completion of a Masters of Education in Education Leadership degree she accepted a full-time faculty position at UVM teaching clinical dental hygiene, dental materials, and community oral health primarily to second year students. Diane is currently an Assistant Professor at the Vermont Technical College Dental Hygiene Program.
Diane has served VDHA in many capacities over the last two decades of her dental hygiene career. She served on the Executive Board from 1994-1998 and chaired the Continuing Education Committee. She is currently the co-advisor of the Vermont Technical College SADHA organization, chair of the Legislative Committee and represents VDHA on the Annual Meeting Planning Committee. Diane is a member of the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society and is a consultant member of the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners.
