Cortney began her pursuit of dental hygiene after completing a year at Saint Michael’s College.  She transferred to the University of Vermont in 2002.  She was a graduate of the last dental hygiene class at the University of Vermont in 2004.  After receiving her Associate in Science degree she began working for Timberlane Dental Group.  At Timberlane, Cortney enjoys working as a full-time pediatric dental hygienist.  In the fall of 2005 Cortney took a position as a part-time clinical assistant at Vermont Technical College in Williston where she became actively involved in VDHA.  During school Cortney was the SDHA treasurer and has been a member of VDHA since graduation.  She has been the VDHA secretary for the past few years, and hopes to continue representing the hygienist across the state.
